Part of The Bone Temple collection, Bone Shaping explores the quiet architecture of nature through sculptural form, repetition and rhythm. Inspired by coral structures, skeletal frameworks and the hidden geometries that support living systems, the work is built from hundreds of hand-formed organic elements arranged in expanding concentric rings.
The composition radiates outwards from a calm central void, creating a meditative sense of movement and growth. Each individual form echoes the next, gradually increasing in scale as the pattern unfolds across the surface. The resulting structure feels both ancient and contemporary — reminiscent of coral colonies, vertebrae, sacred relics and natural temples shaped slowly over time.
Rendered entirely in white, the sculpture relies on light, shadow and texture to reveal its complexity. As the light shifts throughout the day, subtle highlights and shadows animate the surface, encouraging slower observation and a deeper engagement with the work's tactile qualities.
Created through an intuitive and repetitive making process, Bone Shaping reflects the themes at the heart of The Bone Temple collection: structure, transformation, resilience and the beauty found within nature's underlying frameworks. Both contemplative and sculptural, the piece is designed to bring a sense of stillness, balance and sensory richness into interior spaces.
Presented in a natural wood frame, this one-of-a-kind artwork sits between wall sculpture and contemporary object, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect and explore its intricate landscape of forms.
