Inspired by the soft colours of summer peonies in bloom, the artwork is composed of dozens of individually cut butterflies created from an original mixed-media painting. Layers of pink, coral, cream and soft green blend with white acrylic, gold ink and touches of gold leaf, creating a palette that feels both delicate and luminous.
The butterflies gather densely at the top of the composition before gradually dispersing into open space below, suggesting a moment of release, movement and emergence.
